Chief Dr. Robert Joseph, OBC, OC is a Hereditary Chief of the Gwawaenuk people, Ambassador for Reconciliation Canada, Chair of the Native American Leadership Alliance for Peace and Reconciliation, and the 2016 winner of the Indspire Lifetime Achievement Award. Lori Hanau and Chief Joseph will discuss how we can lift up together, and uplift each other through sharing leadership, power, responsibility, and meaning.

In his new book, Namwayut, Chief Joseph shares his story from surviving residential school to where he is now: the act of extraordinary vulnerability and generosity that encourages mutual understanding, creates a pathway for positive change, and transforms the relationships within ourselves and with others.

We share with Chief Joseph a belief in our profound human capacity to be spirit-led and in deep relationship with each other. These wisdoms inform our leadership training program, which we call Shared Leadership Learning Journeys, because they remind us that we’re humans having experiences before we’re people playing roles.
