Autumn Update

October 18, 2012

Dear friends,

It is with great joy that I send you this autumn greeting on behalf of us all at GRTL! We hope this note finds you wonderfully well, with your season off to a rich start and the rhythms of nature providing inspiration and peace.

I am excited to share with you the following news and events!

First, I am honored to announce my recent acceptance to the Social Venture Network Board of Directors. Social Venture Network (SVN) is a remarkable community of values-driven business leaders and impact investors. I have been blessed to be part of the SVN community of business leaders and social entrepreneurs for a number of years, and am thrilled to accept the challenge of advising this group in their work to create transformational innovation, growth and impact. This year the organization celebrates its 25th anniversary. I am honored to be presenting and facilitating at the upcoming SVN 2012 Fall Conference which invites us all to “Share, learn and collaborate with the pioneers of the impact economy.” The event takes place November 14-17 just outside New York City. Please let me know if I will see you there!

Secondly, October 27 will find GRTL taking part in Connecting for Change, a Bioneers by the Bay conference presented by the Marion Institute in New Bedford, MA. My colleague, Elli Caldwell, and I will be presenting a 4:00 p.m. Experiential session entitled, “Restoring Our Humanity: Essential Skill-Building for Positive Change.” We are so pleased to be part of this conference which describes itself as, “A solutions based gathering that brings together a diverse audience to create deep and positive change in their communities.” I’m not sure we could find better weekend company if we tried! Please join us there by registering!

Finally, attached below is a Kosmos Journal article that crossed our path recently which we found both heartening and motivating. Within, Monica Sharma details the capacities of today’s courageous leaders as well as several striking examples of those visionaries who are changing our world day by day. We hope you enjoy her words!

Thank you for the community of support you provide to GRTL, and for the good work that you are doing to better our world. Sending you our very best for a beautiful season!

Sincerely,

Lori Hanau
